Ceruleanstudios released an update to the Trillian 3.1 version that fixes several security issues.
After releasing version 3.1.5, it was quickly replaced by version 220.127.116.11 to address some more issues. The new version fixes two security vulnerabilities in Trillian's IRC and Rendezvous modules. It also includes all patches that have been released previously, eliminating the need to download updates after a fresh Trillian install.
The new version also includes the option to install tools from Weather.com and Ask.com during the installation process. The completely optional installation of these tools gives Ceruleanstudios an additional source of income. The tools are not included with the Trillian download and Trillian continues to be free of adware or spyware.
The security fixes from Trillian 18.104.22.168 will be available via the auto update in a few days. If you do not want to wait, the new version can be installed on top of the old one.
