TrillAlice is a chat bot based on the A.L.I.C.E. program. It can talk to your friends.

The plugin is installed by unzipping the TrilliAlice folder (and all sub-folders) into your Trillian folder (usually c:\Program Files\Trillian\plugins). Then enable the plugin in your Trillian Preferences and click on the Change button to open up the TrillAlice preferences. The first step here is to create a new bot. Start typing a name in the drop-down list field at the top. The New button will be activated once you typed in a name. Click on it and the configuration page for the bot will turn up. Enable the bot in the checkbox. Then choose a AIML set by clicking the button next to the AI Index field. You can choose between standard.txt, annotated.txt, and German.txt. The annotated set is exhaustive and therefore the best choice if you prefer good results out-of-the-box. The Standard set is simpler and therefore easier to change.

Then switch to the Accounts tab and choose the accounts on which the bot should respond. Then highlight each account you enabled and set the desired Account options (e.g. set it to respond to any user or choose specific contacts from your list). Finally hit Save in the upper right corner and your bot is ready. It will also show up in your contact list.
