Trillian Auto Backup (TAB) creates a backup of your Trillian buddy list and configuration files. It can also upload the buddy list to a FTP server.
The tool works as a launcher. Instead of starting Trillian directly, you start TAB which then creates a backup and launches Trillian. When you run Trillian Auto Backup for the first time, it brings up the preferences screen. Here you need to point it to your Trillian directory (usually C:\Program Files\Trillian) and enter the command to execute (trillian.exe). The easiest way to make these settings is to use the Browse button and then open the trillian.exe file. You can also set the backup interval and which files it should backup. If you enable the FTP feature and enter your FTP account details, the buddy list will be stored on the server.
From now on, simply use the TAB symbol on your desktop to start Trillian. The TAB splash screen will be shown for 1.5 seconds before Trillian is launched. If you need to change the settings or restore a backup, the following keys can be used while the splash screen is shown:
